With the development of modern industry and the degree of automation, industrial quality inspection and control requirements are increasingly high, steel pipe is the most common products in industrial inspection.

First, according to the production method

Pipe according to the production method can be divided into two categories: seamless steel pipe and welded steel pipe

1. Seamless steel pipe is made of carbon steel or alloy steel, hot rolled, cold rolled (drawn). Seamless steel pipe can be used in a variety of industries, such as liquid air pressure pipeline and gas pipeline.

Seamless steel pipe can be divided into: hot rolled seamless pipe, cold drawn pipe, precision steel pipe, hot expanded pipe, cold rolled pipe and extruded pipe according to the production method.

2. Welded steel pipe is rolled into a tube from the steel plate to weld or spiral seam. Our common water pipes, gas pipes, heating pipes, electrical pipes, etc. are welded steel pipe.

According to the welding process is divided into: furnace welding pipe, electric welding (resistance welding) pipe and automatic arc welding pipe.

According to the welding form is divided into: straight seam welded pipe and spiral welded pipe.

According to the shape of the end is divided into: round welded pipe and shaped (square, flat, etc.) welded pipe.

According to the manufacturing method is divided into: low-pressure fluid transportation with welded steel pipe, spiral welded steel pipe, direct coil welded steel pipe, electric welded pipe and so on.

Second, according to the material

Steel pipe according to the pipe material can be divided into: carbon pipe, alloy pipe and stainless steel pipe.

Carbon pipe is divided into: ordinary carbon steel pipe and carbon structural pipe.

Alloy pipe is divided into: low alloy pipe, alloy structural pipe, high alloy pipe, high strength pipe. Bearing tube, heat-resistant and acid-resistant stainless steel tube, precision alloy (e.g. logging alloy) tube and high-temperature alloy tube.
