P265TR2

EN10217-1 P265TR2 grade welded steel tubes are manufactured in accordance with the technical delivery condition specified in the European Standard. This European Standard applies to welded circular tubes made of non-alloy and alloy steels with specified elevated temperature properties. The name of this pipe refers to its minimum yield strength in MPa, which is stressed during manufacture. This welded steel pipe has good weldability and is suitable for different welding processes, such as fusion welding and resistance welding. This carbon steel pipe is mostly used in boilers, heat exchangers, and other high-temperature equipment and pipelines. According to the technical requirements of different standards, it can also be used in ships, vehicles, bridges, construction and etc. EN10217-1 P265TR2 grade welded steel tubes are an important part of our company’s product line and we are proud to offer them to our customers. We hope that you will consider using our products in your next project.
  • EN10217 P265TR2 WELDING STEEL NAME DESIGNATED

    - P265TR2 is the capital letter P for pressure purposes; P265TR2 is the indication of the specified minimum yield strength for thicknesses less than or equal to 16mm;
    - P265TR2 is the indication of the specified minimum yield strength for thicknesses less than or equal to 16mm; P265TR2 is the indication of the specified minimum yield strength for thicknesses less than or
    - For grades with defined aluminum content, impact attributes, and special inspection and testing criteria, use the alphanumeric TR2.
  • APPEARANCE OF EN 10217-1 P265TR2 PIPES

    - Weld Seam

    The weld area of an EN 10217-1 pipe is critical in ensuring the structural integrity of the pipe. Any cracks, lack of fusion, or lack of penetration can result in the pipe failing to meet the required specifications. As a result, repairs to the weld seam are not permitted. However, if the repairs are done per an agreed documented procedure, they may be allowed. This ensures that the integrity of the pipe is maintained and that it can continue to meet the required specifications.

    - Tube Surface

    The EN 10217-1 pipe has a surface requirement that demands it to be free of external and internal surface defects that can be detected by visual examination. Any surface imperfections that require dressing shall be able to be identified and it is only permissible to dress them by grinding or machining. All dressed areas need to blend smoothly into the contour of the tube. If any surface imperfection is deeper than 5% of the wall thickness T or 3mm, whichever is smaller, then it needs to be dressed.

  • MARKING TO BE APPLIED ON EN 10217-1 P265TR2 PIPES

    In order to ensure the quality of tubes used in critical applications, it is essential that they be properly marked with all relevant information. According to EN 10217-1, at least one end of each tube must be indelibly marked by the manufacturer, using paint, an automated link or stamping process, or a combination thereof. The manufacturer’s name or trademark, the type of tube, the standard number, and the steel name or number must all be included on the tube. For tubes with an outside diameter of over 51mm, this information may be provided on a label or tag which is securely attached to the bundle or box containing the tubes. The label or tag must also identify the diameter, wall thickness and length range of the tubes. By following these simple guidelines, manufacturers can ensure that their products meet the required standards and can be easily identified by customers.
