HSAW Pipe / SSAW Pipe

Helical / spiral submerged arc welding pipe is the full name of HSAW / SSAW pipe, which is made of hot rolled steel coil or narrower steel sheet by automatic submerged arc welding under normal atmospheric temperature. Different specifications of HSAW / SSAW pipes can be made because of spiral welding process.

SSAW Steel Pipe Manufacturing Process:

First, feed the raw material - steel strip / coil into the welded pipe unit. After rolling by multiple rollers, the steel strip / coil is gradually rolled up to form a round pipe blank with an open gap. Then, adjust reduction of the squeeze roller to control the welding gap at 1 - 3mm, and make both ends of the welding joint flush.
