LSAW VS DSAW

LSAW(Longitudinal Submerge Arc Welding) pipe is a kind of steel pipe whose welding seam is longitudinally parallel to the pipe, and made of steel sheet or plate, so the WT of the LSAW welded steel pipe can be much heavier, while the OD limited to 1420mm utmost.

DSAW (Double Submerged Arc Welding) pipe is a kind of spiral welding seam steel pipe, and the raw materials is steel coil. So the of the DSAW steel pipe's single length can be 40m, while that of the L SAW pipe is only 12m. But the max WT of the DSAW pipes can be 25.4mm only due to the limitation of the hot rolled coils.

Difference Between LSAW And DSAW

The main difference between and LSAW steel pipe and DSAW steel pipe is that there is a seam weld in the inside and outside of the DSAW pipes, while there is a single seam weld on the outer surface, longitudinal or cross sectional on LSAW pipes.
