P195TR2

EN10217-1 P195TR2 steel pipe grade is welded steel tubes for pressure purposes in the technical delivery condition specified in the European Standard. This European Standard applies to welded circular tubes made of non-alloy and alloy steels with specified elevated temperature properties, The name of this pipe refers to its minimum yield strength in MPa stressful during manufacture. This welded steel pipe has good weldability and is suitable for different welding processes, such as fusion welding and resistance welding. This carbon steel pipe is mostly used in boilers, heat exchangers, and other high-temperature equipment and pipelines. According to the technical requirements of different standards, it can also be used in ships, vehicles, bridges, construction, etc. In addition to its high strength properties, this kind of carbon steel pipe is also characterized by its excellent toughness, ductility, and wear resistance. These outstanding features make EN10217-1 P195TR2 an ideal material for many industrial applications.
  • EN10217 P195TR2 WELDING STEEL NAME DESIGNATED

    - P195TR2 the capital letter P for pressure purposes;
    - P195TR2 is the indication of the specified minimum yield strength for thickness less than or equal to 16mm;
    - The alphanumeric TR2 for qualities with specified aluminum content, impact properties, and specific inspection and testing requirements.

    - Weld Seam

    EN 10217-1 pipe is made from different materials, each with different welding requirements. The most common are ferritic and austenitic steels, which have to be welded with care to avoid cracking, lack of fusion, and lack of penetration. Repairs to the weld seam of EW and HFW tubes are not permitted. Repairs to the weld seam of SAW tubes may be allowed if done by an agreed documented procedure.

    - Tube Surface

    The EN 10217-1 pipe must have a surface that is free of any defects that can be seen with the naked eye. If there are any surface imperfections that require dressing, they shall be limited to grinding or machining. The wall thickness in the dressed area must not be less than the specified minimum wall thickness. All dressed areas shall blend smoothly into the contour of the tube. Any surface imperfection that is deeper than 5% of the wall thickness T or 3mm, whichever is smaller, shall be dressed.

  • MARKING TO BE APPLIED ON EN 10217-1 P195TR1 PIPES

    In order to ensure the safety of welded steel tubes, it is essential that each tube be clearly and indelibly marked with important information about the manufacturer, type of tube, standard, and steel grade name. This marking can be done by various means such as an automated link or paint marking process, paint stencil or hard stamping (using low stress or pin stamps), or a combination of these. For tubes with an outside diameter of over 51mm, the markings may be replaced by a label or tag securely attached to the bundle or box, which should also identify the tube diameter, wall thickness, and length range. By clearly and durably marking each tube in this manner, we can help to ensure the safety of welded steel tubes.
