P265TR1

EN10217-1 P265TR1 steel pipe grade is a welded steel tube for pressure purposes in the technical delivery condition specified in the European Standard. This European Standard applies to welded circular tubes made of non-alloy and alloy steels with specified elevated temperature properties. The name of this pipe refers to its minimum yield strength in MPa stressful during manufacture. This welded steel pipe has good weldability and is suitable for different welding processes, such as fusion welding and resistance welding. This carbon steel pipe is mostly used in boilers, heat exchangers, and other high-temperature equipment and pipelines. According to the technical requirements of different standards, it can also be used in ships, vehicles, bridges, construction and etc. EN10217-1 P265TR1 steel pipe grade is an ideal choice for conveying fluid, such as water, gas, oil and etc. Thanks to its good mechanical property and technology performance, it can be widely used in many industries.
  • EN10217 P265TR1 WELDING STEEL NAME DESIGNATED

    - P265TR1 the capital letter P for pressure purposes;
    - P265TR1 the required minimum yield strength for thicknesses less than or equal to 16mm;
    - TR1 the alphanumeric code for qualities without defined aluminum content, impact characteristics, or special inspection and testing criteria.
  • APPEARANCE OF EN 10217-1 P265TR1 PIPES

    - Weld Seam

    The quality of a welding joint is crucial in the manufacturing of EN 10217-1 pipes. Any cracks, lack of fusion, or lack of penetration in the weld area can cause the pipe to fail, potentially leading to injuries or property damage. For this reason, strict quality control measures are in place to ensure that all welds meet the highest standards. In particular, repairs to the weld seam are not permitted unless they are carried out in accordance with an agreed documented procedure. This ensures that all repaired welds meet the required strength and integrity standards, ensuring the safety of both users and property.

    - Tube Surface

    The surface requirements mentioned in the standard apply to all types of welded or seamless pipes. These pipes shall be free from any kind of external or internal surface imperfections that can be detected by visual examination. The surface condition should be such that any surface imperfections requiring dressing can be identified easily. Dressing, in this context, means grinding or machining the surface to make it smooth. It is permissible to dress only those surface imperfections and after dressing, the wall thickness is not less than the minimum specified wall thickness. Also, all dressed areas should blend smoothly into the contour of the pipe so that there is no indentation or bulging. Any surface imperfection which is deeper than 5% of specified wall thickness T or 3mm, whichever is smaller, shall be dressed accordingly.

  • MARKING TO BE APPLIED ON P265TR1 PIPES

    Manufacturers of steel tubes must mark their product in a way that is visible and legible, in order to conform to EN 10217-1. This standard dictates that at least one end of each tube be marked with the manufacturer’s name or trade mark, the type of tube, the standard number, and the steel name or steel number. If the outside diameter of the tube is over 51mm, then this information may be replaced by a label or tag which is securely attached to the bundle or box containing the tubes. This label or tag must also identify the tube diameter, wall thickness and length range. Automated link marking, paint stenciling, hard stamping (using low stress or pin stamps), or a combination of these methods may be used so long as the information required by EN 10217-1 is visible and legible.
