What is 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe?

Usage of 3PE anticorrosion steel pipe
We use 3LPE anticorrosion steel pipe in long distance transmission of natural gas, crude oil and refined oil. It is also used in city gas piping systems, storage tanks and trench piping systems.The main use of 3PE is to protect pipelines used in the power and communication industries as well as water piping systems.
Layers of 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe
As the name suggests, 3PE coating includes 3 layers.
The first layer of 3PE coating:
Fusion bonded epoxy resin, thickness >100μm.(Thickness of FBE coating >100μm)
Second layer of 3PE coating:
Adhesive layer. It bonds the epoxy resin and PE layer. (Thickness of the second layer is 170 to 250 μm.)
Third 3PE coating:
PE layer. The thickness is 2.5mm to 3.7mm. It is polyethylene, which has the advantages of resistance to water, electricity and mechanical damage. This is a very important layer.
From the layer of 3PE, you will find that 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe has the advantages of FBE and PE. It is more and more widely used in underground pipelines for the transportation of water, gas and oil. This also means that if a factory has 3PE coated steel pipe manufacturing equipment, they can also manufacture FBE coated pipe.

Tests show that the abrasion resistance of PE pipe is 4 times that of bare steel pipe. Especially for conveying slurry, PE coated pipe has better abrasion resistance compared to painted steel pipe.3PE has a smooth surface with a mating factor of 0.009.
3PE coated steel pipes have a smooth inner surface and non-stick properties, resulting in higher water transfer capacity and reduced pressure loss during transportation.
The low water permeability properties of 3PE coated steel pipe improve its isolation from seawater compared to other coating systems and FBE coated pipes.
PE material is a green material, non-toxic and harmless. It does not add heavy metal stabilizers to the manufacturing process of 3LPE coated steel pipes. 3PE can be recycled and therefore does not pollute the environment.
