ERW Steel Pipe Manufacturing Process

ERW steel pipes are manufactured from hot rolled coils produced by steel mills, and all incoming coils are verified on the basis of chemical and mechanical property test certificates received from the steel mills. Initially, the ERW manufacturing process used low frequency alternating current to heat the edges. In recent years, low frequency processes have been replaced by high frequency ERW processes, which produce higher quality welds.

ERW pipe provides exceptional strength and durability for fluid transfer and other structural applications, making it one of the most widely used industrial grade pipes. UsuallytheOD ofERWsteelpipe is between 1/2"(12.7mm) to24" (609mm).
